ABOUT · YOUNGJIN YANG

Youngjin Yang.

Life Sciences undergraduate at Chung-Ang University, interested in how biological systems can be understood, evaluated, and optimized through experimental research.

About Me

My path in life sciences has taken me across different areas of biological research. In 2023, I worked in a regenerative medicine research laboratory at Dongguk University, where I gained experience with cell-based research, FACS, and in vivo experiments.

After completing my military service as an Air Force Military Police, I returned to academia and joined a research laboratory at Chung-Ang University in 2026, where I worked on RNA engineering and circRNA translation optimization.

Through these experiences, I have become interested in experimental optimization, biological systems engineering, and quantitative evaluation. Rather than focusing on a single biological technique, I want to understand how biological systems behave under different conditions and how experimental results can be translated into more reliable and reproducible processes.

Direction

My experiences so far have allowed me to approach biology from several perspectives—from regenerative medicine and in vivo systems to molecular biology and RNA engineering.

Going forward, I want to expand this foundation toward biological engineering and bioprocess development, where experimental knowledge can be applied to the optimization of processes that are reliable, reproducible, and scalable.

My long-term goal is to become a bioprocess engineer in the biopharmaceutical industry.
